Mid-Career Outcomes of Graduates of Virginia Institutions of Higher Education - Looking as far back as 20 years after graduation, this report weighs wages of former Virginia students. Bachelors degrees in engineering, computer science and engineering technologies earned the highest incomes over time. Education, English and visual and performing arts earned the lowest. Associate degrees meant to transfer to four-year institutions lagged behind applied science associate degrees initially, but outperformed them over time. In 1998, graduates' median annual wage was $31,543; by 2013 - midcareer - that had more than doubled to $68,036.(State Council of Higher Education for Virginia, September 2014) ...
