Graduation requirements vary greatly among states. In recent years many states have implemented policies that align graduation requirements to state standards or to college admission standards. This sub-issue site provides information from a variety of sources on what each state requires for graduation, and offers reports and analyses that examine how states are faring in their efforts to prepare all students for college and for the workforce.
