 What States Are Doing
 Selected Research & Readings

No Child Left Behind focuses on improved achievement for all students, including subgroups for race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, English language learners and students with disabilities. The law requires that the performance of all student groups is disaggregated, reported and factored into adequate yearly progress results. While states are now eligible to apply for a waiver from the requirements of NCLB, states are still focusing on improving the achievement of these sub-groups.
