Rewards |
|
In a performance-based accountability system, rewards are frequently used as incentives to teachers, schools and districts to raise student achievement. Rewards can take the form of cash, public recognition and/or increased freedom and flexibility from regulations. Rewards can be given to low-performing schools that have dramatically increased their achievement scores or to schools that reach high levels of student achievement. In some incentive systems, teachers receive cash awards.
