The federal government has recently passed the groundbreaking American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA). This act contains $789 billion in new federal spending or tax cuts with up to $100 billion potentially going to public education programs. ECS is in the process of producing useful summaries about how ARRA funds can be used along with idea papers about how states can maximize the impact of the ARRA funds that they receive.
