Understanding Education Research

We're pleased to announce a unique opportunity for National Forum
participants just prior to the official start of this year's National
Forum at the Peabody Orlando Hotel. On Tuesday, July 13, from 2:00 -
5:00 p.m., ECS is offering a mini-course entitled "Understanding
Education Research." The course is designed to help you understand the
basics of education research and will be taught by Patricia Lauer,
principal researcher at Mid-continent Research for Education and
Learning (MCREL) and author of the new ECS/MCREL, "Policymaker's Primer
on Education Research" (see online at http://www.ecs.org/researchprimer).
This is your chance to become more familiar with key terms and concepts
in education research and to learn to use education research as a tool
for policy decisions.
WHERE: The course will be held at the conference hotel (Peabody).
WHO:
The session
will be highly interactive therefore limited in enrollment.

There will
be no fee for the course, but registrants will be accepted on a first-
