Understanding Education Research

Once Registered To Attend The 2004 National Forum on Education Policy*, Take Advantage of This Exciting Pre-forum Opportunity!

We're pleased to announce a unique opportunity for National Forum participants just prior to the official start of this year's National Forum at the Peabody Orlando Hotel. On Tuesday, July 13, from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m., ECS is offering a mini-course entitled "Understanding Education Research." The course is designed to help you understand the basics of education research and will be taught by Patricia Lauer, principal researcher at Mid-continent Research for Education and Learning (MCREL) and author of the new ECS/MCREL, "Policymaker's Primer on Education Research" (see online at http://www.ecs.org/researchprimer).

This is your chance to become more familiar with key terms and concepts in education research and to learn to use education research as a tool for policy decisions.

WHERE: The course will be held at the conference hotel (Peabody).
WHO: The session will be highly interactive therefore limited in enrollment.
HOW AND WHEN TO REGISTER: There will be no fee for the course, but registrants will be accepted on a first- come/first-served basis. Please register no later than June 21 by contacting Lyn Hesketh at 303.299.3639 or at lhesketh@ecs.org.

For further information about the course, please contact Michael Allen at 303.299.3669 or mallen@ecs.org.

Don't miss this exciting learning opportunity!
