Lawrence Picus is a professor at the USC Rossier School of Education. His current research interests focus on adequacy and equity in school finance as well as efficiency and productivity in the provision of educational programs for K-12 school children. Picus is past-president of the American Education Finance Association. He has consulted extensively on school finance issues with more than 20 states, and conducted adequacy studies in Arkansas, Arizona, Kentucky, North Dakota, Wyoming, Wisconsin and Washington. He also has worked with a number of school districts to develop strategic budgeting and resource allocation plans focused on improving student performance.
