Nancy Doorey Director of Programs, Center for K-12 Assessments & Peformance Management, Educational Testing Service, Texas Nancy A. Doorey served on the Delaware State Board of Education from 1993 until June 1999, when she resigned to take a seat on her local school board. As a member of the state board of education, she secured funding and support for teachers seeking National Board certification, initiated two statewide conferences on professional development and one on teacher quality, and authored a grant which has provided over $2 million worth of technology training, support and refurbished equipment to schools. Doorey also initiated a study commissioned by the board on the impact of the statewide education accountability system on teaching, learning and resource allocation.
