Aligning Common Core State Standards and higher education is key. Recommendations include revisiting structures that support college readiness: dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate programs, early college high school and career/technical education arrangements. States could also focus on higher ed structures that increase college success: early admission, summer bridge programs, co-requisite course sequences and regional consortial arrangements.
