Karole Dachelet joined the policy team at Education Commission of the States in August 2018. As a policy analyst, Karole analyzes legislation and assembles and prepares data to assist policymakers with evidence-informed decision-making. She works on a range of policy issues, with an emphasis on postsecondary and workforce development policy. Karole previously worked for the Legislative Audit Bureau and the Institute for Research on Poverty in her home state of Wisconsin. She holds both a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. In her time outside of the office, Karole loves to treasure hunt at yard sales and antique stores for all things from the mid-century era; and she enjoys taking her dog for long walks in the many beautiful public spaces of Denver.
