Kate joined Education Commission of the States in October 2017 as the Human Resources Assistant. She provides oversight of policies and programs, covering all functional areas of employee relations, including payroll, benefits, maintenance of personnel records and reports. She has a bachelor’s degree in social and environmental justice from Appalachian State University, and previously worked as a grant administrator for several nonprofits in Denver. She keeps busy running around after her 6-year-old triplets and their French Bulldog puppy! When she can find spare time, she enjoys hiking, snowboarding, soccer, all mediums of art and seeing live music.
