Our Policy Team identified which states have passed legislation about requiring media literacy and/or civics and what those bills required. From 2015-2020, we found that at least 14 bills had been enacted on media literacy in 10 states. Our response includes 14 bills enacted on media literacy in 10 state between 2015-2020 and two examples of media literacy legislation passed this year. To provide timely assistance to our constituents, State Information Requests are typically completed in 48 hours. They reflect an issue scan versus a comprehensive analysis.
