A state representative asked how states are addressing unfinished learning in the last year caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our response includes examples from states that are proposing robust summer programming options, curricular support for foundational skills like reading and math, extensions or changes to the school calendar that allow for more learning time, and ways to quantify the unfinished learning students have experienced.
