A state higher education official asked states that include states include enrollment in training or postsecondary education as an eligible requirement for maintaining unemployment benefits. While no state can deny benefits to an individual enrolled in an approved training program, the process varies from state to state. Our response includes examples from three states, plus two additional resources. To provide timely assistance to our constituents, State Information Requests are typically completed in 48 hours.
