In collaboration with our esteemed Partners, we host this live virtual webinar series for policymakers to learn alongside experts on education policy issues.

We're proud to collaborate annually with the Legislative Education Staff Network and role groups like governors' education policy advisors to strengthen our connections among constituents and elevate key areas of focus among state education policymakers.

Annual Awards

Each year at the National Forum on Education Policy, we present awards to individuals, states and organizations that have made significant contributions to public education.

James Bryant Conant 
Award

Named for the co-founder of Education Commission of the States and former president of Harvard University, the Conant Award recognizes outstanding individual contribution to American education.

Frank Newman Award for State Innovation

The Newman Award recognizes a state or territory that is enacting innovative education reforms or implementing programs that go beyond marginal or incremental changes to improve student outcomes on a large scale.

Education Commission of the States Corporate Award

The Corporate Award recognizes a corporation or foundation that demonstrates a sustained commitment to improving public education in the United States.
