As Director of Communications and Marketing for Education Commission of the States, Kathryn works to elevate the organization’s voice and bring its work to life through clear, compelling storytelling. She partners with colleagues across ECS to share how states are learning from one another and leading on behalf of students. Kathryn’s background includes experience as a reporter, nonprofit communications director and director of communications for a state education agency. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors and has a special interest in wildlife conservation, especially birds.
