Developmental Education: An Introduction for Policymakers

This report, released in collaboration with the Center for the Analysis of Postsecondary Readiness, explains the importance of developmental education, its current challenges and how policymakers can contribute to improving outcomes.

Updated July 2018 to correct the reported findings of a study on students who have been erroneously placed, based on standardized assessments, into either developmental or college-level courses (page 4).
