A state member organization asked for information about whether the effects of early education programs continue past third grade and if students who do not participate in pre-k programs are able to catch up to their peers by third grade. Our response provided examples of state-specific research examining the impact of early education programs, as well as additional resources. To provide timely assistance to our constituents, State Information Requests are typically completed in 24 hours. They reflect an issue scan versus a comprehensive analysis.
